ANESTHESIA-FREE K9 TEETH CLEANING
It is important for you to understand what I do and why I am allowed to do it.
I remove tartar and plaque from your dog's teeth while he/she is awake lying in my lap. This technique is very safe and your pet remains alert. I do my best to keep your pet calm and comfortable. This is a cosmetic procedure - not medical.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE - I CLEAN YOUR DOG'S TEETH
We ALL know that brushing our own teeth and keeping them clean is what will keep our own mouth healthy. I am certain that your Vet will tell you the same thing regarding your dog's teeth. If you can not keep your dogs teeth clean, then I can help. You should be checking your dog's teeth monthly looking for an accumulation of yellow or brown material at the area where the tooth meets the gum line. Bad breath is a good indicator too. Be proactive and let's keep those pearly whites just that - PEARLY WHITE

The intervals between teeth cleaning procedures will depend on the amount of oral care provided at home and of course genetics. Some animals are just genetically more likely to have tartar build-up than others. Small breed dogs, for instance, tend to accumulate plaque and tartar faster than large breed dogs. If you cannot brush the teeth, then there are other products available to aid in prevention of tartar and plaque accumulation.
Brushing your pet's teeth is the gold standard!
Most dogs tolerate the procedure very well. If your dog resists the cleaning procedure with aggression or fear, you may take your dog home and there will be no charge.

Testimonials:
July 2021: Thank You once again for the Benni squeaky clean tooth care. His teeth looks pristine.
I have gotten rid of all the deer antlers ( Yogi just runs with them but Benni can get compulsive when chewing ) now all they have to munch on ( when monitored ) is raw bones, trachea, dried fish skins and foul feet!
Have a lovely day and see you again when the fluffy bear needs a ‘touch up’.
Sept 10, 2019 Birgit: I think you were amazing to have been able to handle my 18 year old Maltese with such gentleness and care. I think the entire Niagara Peninsula should know how skilled and how highly recommended you are by all your clients. Thank you for the excellent job you did on my dog's teeth.

July 22, 2019: Hello. I wanted to send a quick message and let you know how pleased I am with your work. Natus, my big crazy Weimeraner, had his teeth cleaned and the inflammation and redness on his gums have completely gone. Thanks so much. He's a happier boy. Nicola
June 12, 2019: My dog Lucy had her teeth cleaned the first time with you earlier in spring. I have never met you to thank you for doing such an honourable job and that Lucy's teeth continue to shine. Thank you and for believing in what you do. Eleanor
July 18, 2018: Just had my little Yorkies teeth cleaned and I’m BEYOND happy with the results. At our last vet visit that it was strongly recommended that we get our little guys teeth cleaned ASAP. After a $500+ estimation and to have him sedated we started to look at other options. My mother in law works for a dog rescue and strongly recommended Cutting Edge and I’m soo happy we chose to use their services.. I strongly recommend anyone looking to have their dog teeth cleaned they give this amazing local business a try. Reasonable rates and great with your pet

In 2016 I was sued by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario for "Practicing Veterinary Medicine Without a Licence". Justice Reid of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice heard the College's application on May 15, 2017. On September 6, 2017, Justice Reid concluded that the teeth cleaning service that I provide does not fall within the practice of veterinary medicine.
Dentistry performed by a veterinarian includes assessment, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the teeth and associated structures, as set out in the professional practice standard of the College. My teeth cleaning is not an alternative to veterinary dentistry.
Therefore, if your Veterinarian or Vet Tech tells you that my service is "illegal", that is false.
I am NOT a Veterinarian and the service I provide is not offered by Veterinarians.

It is a sad situation when the College of Veterinarians of Ontario are attempting to control EVERYTHING related to your dog's health. You, as pet owners, need to speak up and have your voices heard. I am allowed to clean (scale) your dog's teeth by order of The Honourable Mr. Justice Robert B Reid of the St. Catharines Superior Court as per his decision on September 6, 2017. Unfortunately, his decision came with many conditions. I am not allowed to talk about the condition of your dog's teeth. I can not give you any advice as to what you could do to keep your dog's teeth healthy.... plain and simple I was ordered to not give you the false impression that I know anything about health... that is what I have been ordered. According to a judge, anything I have read and learned is meaningless because I do not hold the designation of "Veterinarian".
We as the public and pet owners know plenty... It is my personal belief that we are being misled by the Veterinary profession as a whole. They do not want us to take control and be responsible and educated about our own pets. There is so much good information on the internet written by GREAT Doctors of Veterinary Medicine. Read, Learn, Take control of your pet's health.
